Located at the end of Whiffin Spit Road just off of the main Sooke Road north of town. The Spit extends way out into the mouth of the Sooke harbour and helps to protect the inner basin. A popular walk with gorgeous views.
Sooke Pot Holes
Sooke Potholes Provincial Park provides access to the series of deep, polished rock pools and potholes carved naturally into the bedrock of the Sooke River. This area is a favourite day-use destination for many local and regional residents.
Galloping Goose Trail
Dramatic, wonderful, even awe-inspiring at times – this is a world-class trail with world-class views. It’s also entirely off-road, so the only unpleasant parts are the road crossings – and most of those are fine, with a couple of notable exceptions.
Adrena LINE Zipline Adventures Tours:
Length: Two hours Experience the forest from the trees as you zip through the course at speeds up to 60 km/h. Check out the views from eight ziplines, get your heart pumping on a ten minute ATV ride and search for local wildlife as you venture over two suspension bridges.
Surfing at Jordan River and Sombrio Beach
Jordan River and Sombrio Beach are known for some of the best surf around during the winter months. It's only a 1/2 hour drive from the Beach Box to Jordan River and 45 minutes to Sombrio Beach. During the summer it's one of my favourite places to visit and enjoy an excellent americano at the Deja Vu Restaurant.
Point no Point Resort
Point no Point Resort and Restaurant established in 1952 is one my favourite lunch spots. Amazing cuisine reasonably priced with an amazing setting overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Each table has a pair of binoculars for patrons who are lucky enough to see the orcas travelling by. Located just a few minutes west of the Beach Box.
